Elle is one of those rare finds you only probably come across once or twice in your career. With just three years experience, her journey has not been the ‘normal’ one…

She started in the industry first as receptionist, then managing her family’s salon before falling in love with hairdressing and deciding to get trained up herself. After completing an intensive 6 month crash-course, she was just getting started when the pandemic hit and everything ground to a halt.

Post pandemic threw Elle in at the deep end. Can you imagine being a newly qualified stylist and dealing with alllll those colour corrections we faced post lockdown, 12 hour days, and usually about an hour to complete them because of course no one knows what we’re dealing with until the client walks in the door? She had to learn FAST.

At the same time as this Anneliese started working at Elle’s family’s salon (Tribe, London Clapham) and took her under her wing. Humankind Hair was just launching and Elle began assisting on every single course, rapidly growing and proving herself a valuable team member.

Two years later she is an extremely competent colourist, covering the majority of Anneliese’s clients whilst on maternity leave, and co-teaching alongside Harriet nationally and internationally for both Humankind Hair and L’Oreal Professionnel.

Oh, and she just went and won her first ever colour competition. Not bad, hey?
